Volatile Organic Compounds

VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) are up to 10 times higher indoors than outdoors and are emitted by a variety of products numbering in the thousands. NASA studies have found that concentrated pollutant levels can remain in the air long after product use. Exposure to these VOC’s can result in the following symptoms:

  • Headaches
  • Skin reactions
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness
  • Discomfort of the nose and throat
  • Conjunctival irritation
  • Heart complications

In conclusion, the NASA study proved that using a variety of air purifying plants throughout your home or office, in pots ranging from as little as 4-6-8 inches can filter and purify the air every 100 feet by removing a multitude of harmful toxins. NASA suggests that 15-18 air purifying plants for every 1,800 square feet are needed for a healthy home or work environment
